Winslow Infrastructure is involved in building South Australia’s vast infrastructure network and requires an experienced and professional Civil Supervisor to join our high performing team

The Opportunity

As a Civil Supervisor you will be responsible for the planning and execution of project construction and supervising the operations team: ensuring safety is the highest priority in all works. We are looking for someone with excellent stakeholder management skills and relevant experience to start immediately.

Any given day may see you…

  • Coordinating and supervising on-site operational teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, quality, cultural heritage and other project management plans, including regular site audits and maintenance of controls.
  • Conduct pre-start meetings and targeted toolbox training as required.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive and professional communication.
  • Ensure all workers and subcontractors on site are compliant e.g., White card, pre-approved VOC, appropriate plant, provided SWMS and all other relevant site induction requirements prior to commencing
  • Identify and mitigate risks before work commences, ensuring all personnel are working in accordance with SWMS
  • Manage labour & plant in line with the Program and Production requirements
  • Provide support to Infrastructure projects throughout the Winslow Group and ensure safety management systems are being implemented and meet compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with all Winslow Group Policies and Procedures

 

Here’s what we are looking for…

  • A person who excels in collaborating in project teams and has a passion for complex and major infrastructure development.
  • At least 7 year’s experience in a similar role delivering civil infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and team members
  • A “safety first” mentality
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet project budget, quality and program deadlines.
  • Client facing experience and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Extensive experience in bulk earthworks and brownfield environments
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively working with authorities, such as local councils, and utilities companies
  • Current Drivers Licence, Construction Induction Card (White card), First Aid, CPR, Working at Heights, Confined Space Ticket, Trenching Safety, Environmental Green Card, Certificate IV in Civil Construction are highly desired
  • Attention to detail, ability to read construction drawings and undertake works in accordance with relevant specifications
