About the role:
As the Recruitment Officer, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across our Queensland businesses, with a primary focus on sourcing and securing civil construction plant and equipment operators. This role is pivotal to supporting project delivery by ensuring the right talent is in place, on time, compliant, and site-ready.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: job requisition, advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
- Coordinate recruitment for multiple departments, particularly field-based roles such as excavator, dozer, scraper, dump truck, grader, and water cart operators.
- Conduct thorough pre-employment checks, including references, VEVO verification, licenses, tickets, and qualifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with labour hire providers to support workforce demands and ensure full compliance.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding, ensuring all documentation, site inductions, and compliance requirements are met.
- Provide ongoing recruitment support and workforce planning insights to managers and project leads.

What you will need:
- Previous recruitment experience, preferably in civil construction, infrastructure, or related blue-collar industries.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit for high-demand operational roles in a competitive labour market.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage onboarding and compliance processes effectively.
- Working knowledge of recruitment systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to represent the organisation professionally in the market.
