Civil Infrastructure Estimator
Winslow Queensland – Eight Mile Plains
Winslow Queensland is continuing to grow across the urban and infrastructure sectors and we are seeking an experienced Civil Infrastructure Estimator to join our Precontracts team based in Eight Mile Plains.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established and expanding civil contractor delivering major projects across South East Queensland and regional Queensland including urban development, transport infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy and large-scale civil works.
Working closely with senior operational leaders, project teams and executive management, you will play a key role in securing and shaping future projects for the business.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a broad range of civil infrastructure projects.
The role includes:
  • Preparing detailed civil construction estimates and tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation
  • Developing construction methodologies and programmes
  • Coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Assessing commercial and contractual risks
  • Supporting value engineering and alternative methodology reviews
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure practical delivery outcomes
  • Participating in client meetings, site inspections and tender interviews
Projects will typically include:
  • Bulk earthworks
  • Roadworks and pavements
  • Drainage and utilities
  • Structures and retaining walls
  • Urban development infrastructure
  • Renewable and infrastructure civil works
About You
We are seeking a practical and commercially minded estimator with strong civil construction knowledge and a collaborative approach.
You will ideally have:
  • 5+ years’ experience in civil construction estimating
  • Experience pricing infrastructure and urban civil projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and production rates
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
  • Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related qualifications
  • Experience with estimating software and advanced Excel capability
